The MAO Creative Crew invites enthusiastic schoolchildren on a ‘round-the-world trip’ in both music and spoken word that presents the classic instruments of jazz.

America is the starting point; the birthplace of jazz, before it made its way to Europe and captivated us all with its catchy melodies and virtuoso solos. But what makes jazz so great?

What is freedom in music? Why is it so important to let children play, improvise and create melodies?

Testing the boundaries between classical music and jazz, the show playfully shines a light on the similarities and parallels between the two genres while naturally delving into their differences, too.
