EIT Community Hub Hungary is inviting innovators to the Ideas Meet Action, a year-end event that will take place on 4 December 2025 at the EIT Community Office in Budapest.
The programme provides a full day of inspiration, insights from people working on Europe’s most exciting innovation initiatives and practical guidance for joining next year’s EIT Community programmes. The event is part of the wider work of the EIT Community, supported by the EIT, a body of the European Union.
Ideas Meet Action was created for people who want more than general information. It brings together speakers who have built companies, led research projects, designed educational programmes, or already succeeded in EIT initiatives. Participants will have the chance to hear their stories, ask questions, and understand how the EIT Community can support their own ambitions in 2026.
“By attending Ideas Meet Action, participants will have the opportunity to connect with leading innovators and decision makers, gain firsthand insights into emerging trends in cleantech, digital education, and cultural innovation, explore the latest startup and scale up support opportunities within the EIT Community, and take part in meaningful end-of-year discussions that reflect on shared achievements while setting the foundations for new collaborations and a strong start to 2026” - said Eszter Drevenyák, EIT Community Officer for Hungary.
The day will start with an opening by Eszter Drevenyák, followed by a keynote speech from Luke Incorvaja, Innovation Officer at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology. His talk, titled Innovation in Motion will look at how the EIT has connected ideas across Europe since 2008 and how these developments continue to shape opportunities for communities in Hungary.
Morning presentations will introduce practical topics that help participants understand how to engage with new programmes. Ákos Dervalics and from Green Brother will discuss the next chapter of cleantech in the region, and Krisztián Gál from 28DGTL will present double degree programmes that offer new pathways for learning and career development.
A highlight of the day will be the EIT Jumpstarter session, where previous winners and 2025 finalists will share their experiences. They will explain how they approached the programme, what kind of support they received, and how their projects developed afterward. For anyone considering an application in the future, this session provides clear, experience-based guidance.
Later in the afternoon, Noémi Genzler from the National Research, Development and Innovation Office will outline how national structures support cooperation at the European level and how this links to the work of the EIT Community.
Culture will also play an important role during the event. A panel featuring representatives from ELTE, Natália Oszkó-Jakab from the Valley of Arts Festival, and Gábor Mondik from Creative Europe Desk Hungary will show how cultural perspectives can open up new ways of thinking and collaboration within the innovation ecosystem.
The event will conclude with networking and matchmaking. Participants can join topic-focused tables, meet potential collaborators, and continue discussions started during the sessions. This final part of the day gives everyone space to build connections and identify opportunities that match their interests.
