Reducing Violent Crime Most Urgent Says Budapest Police Chief

Gábor Bucsek - pictured on the right - told Magyar Hírlap that changes have been introduced to enable investigators to get to the crime scene before others without delay.
This frees regular patrols who can then stay in public areas and increase the sense of safety for law abiding citizens, he added.
He told Magyar Nemzet that there are no plans of restructuring, except that a department will specialise in drug related crimes and car theft from September and the investigation office will deal with fighting organised crime.
