Germans spent 262,796 guest nights in Hungary during the period, Poles 154,999, Britons 111,372 and Slovaks spent 86,868. Revenue increased by 9.6% to 47.7 billion forints (EUR 154m). At hotels, revenue per available room grew by 11.2% to 13,411 forints.

The average room price was up 8.1% at 19,507 forints. The occupancy rate at hotels rose by 1.9 percentage points to 68.8%. In January-July, guest nights were up 5.5% year on year at 15,249,000.

Guest nights spent by foreigners climbed by 4.1% and guest nights spent by Hungarians were up 6.9%.
