Budapest's Best Baths Are Open Again
The city's top two most popular spas, Széchenyi & Rudas, are open again to bathers.

The lovery Lukács Baths in Buda also recently reopened, however Gellért, Veli Bej, Király and Dandár baths remain closed for now.

The popular Római Strandfürdő, Palatinus and Paskál outdoor spas reopened a couple of weeks ago, as did the lesser known baths out at Csillaghegy in the 3rd district and Pesterzsébet in southern Pest.

New safety rules apply everywhere, be aware flip-flops are mandatory, and social distancing applies in sunbathing areas, in showers and toilet areas, and also when queuing.

Naturally having a shower using soap is also a must, both before and after your dip in the pools, state all venues.

Tickets:

To get folks going again there are up to 40% price reductions on entry tickets this month at particular baths like Széchenyi - the increasingly limited places are best booked online officially via budapestgyogyfurdoi.hu

Opening hours:

Széchenyi is currently operating every day 9am - 7pm.

The Turkish area of the Rudas is open 6am - 6pm, with its spa and pool area open 8am - 8pm.

We're told changes to opening times are expected and so it's a good bet to call to check before you go

And finally...

More good news, the indoor as well as the outdoor areas at Budapest's Aquaworld complex are now open again to visitors who fancy a splash this summer.
