Hungarian Food Safety Authority Orders Destruction of GMO Soybeans
Food safety authority Nébih announced on Thursday that it had ordered the destruction of 400 hectares of GMO-tainted soybeans in fields in Győr-Moson-Sopron and Vas counties in western Hungary.

Both the seed producer and the agricultural companies cultivating the crops co-operated with the authority.

The Basic Law bans the use of GMO seeds in Hungary.
