Indian Women to Drive Trucks in Hungary
Danish-company Baton Transport Hungary is hiring 25 women in India to drive trucks for its subsidiary Baton Transport Hungary, according to German website Trans.info.

“We want to support Indian women”, Baton Transport CEO Claus Normann Hansen told a press conference in India last week.

If the scheme turns out to be is successful, the haulier could hire up to 800 women over the next five years.

The women will be offered a two-year contract after completing their training in India.

They will be paid a gross monthly salary of Ft 681,000, the same as a Hungarian driver, the company underlined.

The women cannot bring their families to Hungary before they obtain a residence permit.
