Pest Rakpart: Riverside Road Belongs To Pedestrians at Weekends for Summer
The Pest lower riverside road between the Chain Bridge and Erzsébet bridge was again open to pedestrians and cyclists only on Saturday and Sunday and will remain closed to motorised traffic on weekends all through the summer.

At a press conference, mayor Gergely Karácsony said the people of Budapest may have grown accustomed in recent years to the fact that the Pest rakpart belongs to pedestrians and cyclists at the weekend.

He said performances, catering and exhibitions marking Budapest’s 150th birthday will be staged this summer.
