New Luxury Hotel Opens in Budapest's Former Ballet Institute

The long-empty Drechsler Palace, former home of the Ballet Institute on Andrássy út opposite the Opera Hose, has reopened as the W Budapest Hotel operated by the Marriott Bonvoy chain.

The hotel can accommodate guests with 151 rooms, including 45 suites, as well as restaurants with three different gastronomy concepts.

The design of the black Extreme WOW luxury suite and the white version of it pay tribute to the ballet “Swan Lake”.

The renovation plans were designed by London architectural firm Bowler James Brindley while the interior was designed by the Hungarian firm Bánáti & Hartvig.

The reconstruction work was carried out by DVM Group.

In addition to a bar, meeting room and event rooms, the hotel also offers five spa treatment rooms.
