Free Entry to Presidential Palace in Hungary this Sunday, to Mark Cultural Heritage Day
The Sándor Palace in Buda Castle, home to the office of the head of state, will be open to visitors on Sunday, September 17, Cultural Heritage Day.

Visitors may learn the history of the palace and see the Mirror Hall, as well as the Red Salon with a painting of Mária Terézia.

The room in which President Katalin Novák hosted Pope Francis during his visit to Hungary and where the president receives heads of state visiting Hungary and hands over or receives the credentials of ambassadors will also be open to visitors.

No admission fee is charged, and entry is based on the order of arrival with no possibility of preliminary registration.

The palace will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a changing of the guard ceremony at noon on Szent György tér outside the palace, and the Central Orchestra of the Hungarian Armed Forces will play for the public at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
