Hungary Takes Next Steps About Banning Energy Drink Sales to Minors
The Justice Ministry released a draft decree on Friday outlining types of energy drinks that would be prohibited from being sold to under-18s, 444 reports. If implemented as proposed, the decree would ban the sale of energy drinks to minors.

A comprehensive summary published in January highlighted the adverse effects of energy drinks on young people, revealing potential impacts such as disrupted sleep patterns and declining academic performance.

Earlier statements from the Hungarian Energy Drink Federation acknowledged that these beverages are not recommended for children due to their caffeine content. Public feedback on the draft is open until July 20.
