In a video broadcast on Facebook, Orban said he had met Cecilia Muller, the chief public health officer, and other officials.

Concerning the government'S handling of the epidemic in Hungary, Orban said it had been key to vaccinate as many people as possible. He said the health government had had to build capacities "to prepare for the worst-case scenario all along".

The prime minister promised to share further information on his YouTube channel on Sunday evening.
