'Alpha Gang' Recasts with Chris Pine & Lily-Rose Depp as Filming Kicks Off in Budapest
Production is underway in Budapest on the Zellner Brothers’ sci-fi biker comedy Alpha Gang, with a refreshed cast featuring Chris Pine, Lily-Rose Depp, Adria Arjona, Dave Bautista, Cate Blanchett, and Léa Seydoux.

The film, originally slated for spring production, faced delays and has since recast several key roles. Actors Channing Tatum, Riley Keough, Steven Yeun, and Zoë Kravitz are no longer attached.

Alpha Gang follows a group of alien invaders disguised as a 1950s leather-clad biker gang who arrive on Earth with plans for conquest, only to have their mission complicated when they begin to experience human emotions.

Mike Gioulakis, known for his cinematography on It Follows, Us, and Split, is behind the camera, reuniting with the Zellner Brothers after their recent collaboration on Sasquatch Sunset.

Filming in Budapest highlights Hungary’s continued role as a hub for international productions, thanks to its versatile locations and experienced crews.
