Looking for a special way to take in the sights of Budapest? Lace up your running shoes for the 40th Wizz Air Budapest Half Marathon, taking place on 7 September in 2025.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just up for a challenge, this event offers both a scenic and energetic way to experience the city.

The course winds through central Budapest, crossing several of the capital's iconic bridges and offering views of major landmarks along the way.

Runners will pass the banks of the Danube with a view of the Buda Castle, enjoy sweeping vistas of Pest, and run past the Hungarian Parliament — Europe’s third-largest.

The event isn’t just for solo runners. In addition to the individual half marathon (21.1 km), there are several other options:
 

• Szimpatika 10 km – a shorter individual race

• Half Marathon Relay for 2 – split the distance with a partner

• Half Marathon Relay for 3 – divide the route among a team of three
