Hungary Set to Reach 2030 Climate Target
- 5 Nov 2025 7:17 AM
Raisz noted that the EU target for 2030 was to reduce emissions by 55pc from 1990 levels. Hungary has already cut its emissions by 48pc, she added.
Raisz said a target to cut emissions by 90pc from 1990 levels by 2040 was "unrealistic". "Hungary believes that there is a rational green transition," she added.
She said member states in Central and Eastern Europe were not the only ones to face challenges because of financing, matters of history, geography and technological neutrality.
