New Car Registrations in Hungary Slip 4% in Jan-Feb
The number of new passenger car registrations in Hungary in January-February fell 3.5pc from the same period a year earlier to 19,016, data compiled by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) show.

Hybrid electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles accounted for 61pc of sales, cars with petrol engines made up 21pc and vehicles with diesel engines 10pc. Fully-electric vehicles accounted for over 9pc of sales.

Sales of battery electric vehicles climbed 30.5pc to 1,636 during the period and plug-in sales doubled to 1,395. Sales of petrol cars were down 18.1pc at 3,926.
