This successful Dutch national has been the General Manager at the InterContinental Budapest since 2007. The same year he won the 'Business Diamond 2007 prize' as the GM of the InterContinental Cologne which was awarded "Best Business Hotel" in Germany.
He was the General Manager at the InterContinental Cologne (Koln), Germany, for 5 years and 8 months between 2002 - 2007, earlier he was the Resident Manager at the InterContinental in Frankfurt between 2000 - 2002, and the Director of Finance at the IC Frankfurt between 1996 - 2000.
Married, born on November 29th, he was educated at Middelbare Hotel school Heerlen, where he studied Hotel Management between 1983 - 1987, and at St Thomas College, Venlo (1983).
