Xpat Wine Club held its spring event at Veritas Wine Bar on Friday 27 April, with the usual mix of new and veteran expats from a range of countries as well as Hungarians, all lubricated by that truth-promoting tipple. As at all Xpat Wine Club events, the atmosphere was open and friendly, easing the way to make new contacts and relationships, both business and personal.

Shown until 25 February. UVG Art Gallery presents the first solo show of Russian emerging artist Irina Drozd in Budapest. The exhibition “When God was young” is curated by senior researcher and appointed curator of contemporary art exhibitions in Russian State Hermitage museum Dimitry Ozerkov.

It's the 35th time that the best Hungarian press photos of the previous year are put on display. We could hold a celebration, as they usually do on such major anniversaries, we could enumerate numbers, records, and results. And we could list the names of everyone who has contributed to everything that has been created over the past years.

Mozart's The Magic Flute is one of the most popular operas of all time. If we want to be more precise, the work is not strictly an opera but a musical drama or Singspiel, since the players in this theatrical work with music and singing sometimes deliver spoken dialogue, while all the words in an opera are sung.
