The Hungarian State Opera has announced its 2022/2023 thematic season titled Myth & History. The OPERA awaits the public in the renovated Ybl Palace on Andrássy Avenue with numerous new functions and services, new publications, as well as a chamber exhibition open until 28 March.

Sebastião Salgado photographer (born Aimorés, Brazil, 1944) following his previous long-term projects, between 2004 and 2011 made more than 30 different trips into the distant corners of the globe to capture nature in its original state. Norm Clark spent some 5 years in total in Budapest, whilst working as the Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing arm of Lintas. He first arrived like several of the early expats soon after the arrival of the newly democratic state, in 1992. It has been exactly 130 years since the Budapest Opera opened its gates on 27 September, 1884. The Hungarian State Opera commemorates the anniversary of the opening with crowds in period costumes, an extraordinary gala concert, the premier of a film, and the publication of a historical book.
