SHE- Tales of Ancient Goddesses Kathak Dance Performance of Sharmistha Mukherjee and her dance group. In Rig Veda, one of the earliest literatures in history roughly dating between 1700 to 1100 BC, there are references of several goddesses. Though none of them are central to the text, they are treated with curiosity and love for the powerful natural phenomena and abstract forces they represent.

"Our last theatre program at the MERLiN: International Dance Day was introduced in 1982 by the International Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute, a UNESCO partner NGO. The date was suggested to also commemorate the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810), the creator of modern ballet.

"Brilliant Corners" is a new piece for 10 dancers to an original score by Emanuel. The work explores the forces, both mechanical and human, which generate the choreographic substance.
