Every year the festival attracts tens of thousands of local visitors and tourists to the capital and its synagogue, which is said to be one of Europe’s most beautiful. The Hungarian Government has also provided funding for this programme of cultural events.

The Jewish Summer Festival, which is traditionally held between the last Sunday in August and the first Sunday in September, is celebrating its 15-year jubilee this year.
