Rembrandt and the Painting of the Dutch Golden Age, a large-scale exhibition to run in the Museum of Fine Arts from 1 November surveys the period of 17th-century Dutch art, one of the golden ages of European culture. Budapest’s famous Museum of Fine Arts on Heroes’ Square is to close its doors to visitors for a three-year period of reconstruction. Work on the iconic neo-Renaissance and neo-Classicist building, designed by architects Albert Schickedanz and Ferenc Fülöp Herzog and built between 1900 and 1906, will begin as early as next February.
