International Day is a special event in the BIS calendar. It is a day that brings parents, students and teachers together. Classes and groups present activities representing various countries around the globe. They are encouraged to make a presentation by reciting a poem, by dressing up in their native costumes or performing a short play.

My husbands' family left Hungary in 1946 after the expropriation of their stately home and settled in Paris where we met at university in 1965, studying political science. I am myself of German origin and was also brought up in Paris. We married, I learned Hungarian.
