Hungarian István Zelnik has signed a preliminary contract to buy most of the disputed Seuso Treasure from its British owner. The treasure, one of the largest hoards of silver from the Roman era ever discovered, is claimed by Hungary, which contends that it was discovered near Lake Balaton.
Hungarian Cabinet Endorses Joint Venture With Uranium Miner Wildhorse

The cabinet has agreed to enter into a joint venture with Australian mining company Wildhorse Energy to assess the viability of reviving uranium mining in the Mecsek hills in the next six months. The joint venture company will be set up by Wildhorse, which already has ongoing projects in the region near Pecs, along with state owned rehabilitation company Mecsek-Oko and mining company Mecsekerc.

Taxi drivers staged a protest parade at Heroes Square in Budapest on Monday, complaining that stricter technology requirements planned by the city will drive many of them out of business. Some 150-200 drivers demanded fixed fares and a limit on the number of taxis in Budapest.

This week (7 - 13 May), filming in Budapest of the new Bruce Willis movie in the Die Hard action series will result in many traffic restrictions. These include around the TV headquarters, Vörösmarty út and Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út. Until 14 May Budapest will be used as the location for several scenes in the latest film in the hugely successful Die Hard franchise.

Auto parts company Bosch is moving production of its less sophisticated control units from Hatvan, in Heves county, to Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where it is building a new factory for car control unit production.
