According to a statement on the police website, a male caller said he had placed bombs on international trains in Hungary. State railway company MÁV indefinitely cancelled all international train traffic after 8 a.m. Thursday, citing “safety reasons”. Passengers wishing to travel abroad will have to disembark within Hungary and transfer to trains run by foreign companies. MÁV officials told reporters that they could no longer guarantee the safety of Hungarian passengers.
