A hunting shop in Hungary has bought thousands of rocket-propelled weapons from the Hungarian armed forces, the opposition PM party’s spokesman said. Bence Tordai cited defence ministry contracts showing that in 2013 and 2014 the company bought 1,357 air launched rockets, 83 nose guns and 52 airborne rockets from the Hungarian army for 7.5 million forints (EUR 24,000).

Hungary’s Gripen fighter planes protecting the airspace of the Baltic countries have been alerted mostly because of Russian planes, daily Magyar Idők said citing defence ministry information. The majority of planes intercepted by them have been Russian ones but no incidents or aggressive events have been reported, the paper said.
