Áron Veress, former head of the youth chapter of Fidesz, was arrested on Friday, when he attempted to exchange a counterfeit €100 note at a currency change office in Keleti train station. The owner of the office informed the police when he noticed what was clearly a forged note.

These acts add a strong international character to the biggest summer open-air event of Eastern Hungary, held in Debrecen, the second city of the country. József Rippl-Rónai had at least as great an impact on modern Hungarian art as Aristide Maillol had on modern European sculpture. The friendship between these two influential artists, and the artistic documents of their relationship, are the focus of an exhibition opened at the Hungarian National Gallery in December 2014.
