Luxembourg Fund Gets MTV Building In Budapest

Luxembourg-based Futura Funds Sicav is the new owner of the former MTV headquarters on downtown Szabadság tér, following the bankruptcy of the previous owner. Canadian company Tippin Corp. bought the building from the state in 2006, and leased it to state-run MTV until 2009.

The surface reinstatement of the Fővám tér and Kálvin tér related to the M4 Project has been completed. Following technical handover, both squares in their entirety – except the metro exits – are returned to pedestrians. The completion of the works, the road building and the construction of the catenary, has made it possible for the no. 83 trolley to run along its original route.
