On 3 March, the 2015 results of the annual international wine competition “Vinalies Internationales” were disclosed at the La Meurice restaurant in Paris, France. 3575 of the world’s finest wines took part in the competition, including 65 produced in Hungary.

The Hungarian Academy of Wine presented the Winemaker of the Year award to Éva Dignisz Gál at a gala luncheon on Sunday. Dignisz Gál, the first woman to have won the title grows grapes with her husband, Csaba Gál, on 70 hectares on Csepel Island, south of Budapest, and ten hectares north of Lake Balaton.
