On 11 November Budapestians Daniel Kaali and Brody House Group co-founder William Clothier travel to the Nevada desert to compete in the World’s Toughest Mudder (WTM) Event - a gruelling 24-hour non-stop obstacle course race. Competitors race to complete as many of the specially designed 5-mile laps as possible in a 24-hour period.

Jamie’s Pizzeria To Open In Budapest

According to index.hu, the first Jamie’s Pizzeria by Jamie Oliver will be opened in the Gozsdu Courtyard in November. This marks the launch of a whole new restaurant chain, since the star chef only had one pizzeria in India until now. The pizzeria will be opened by the Zsidai Group, the owner of the franchise rights of Jamie’s Italian Budapest.

Two polar bear cubs named Beliy and Seriy have been given ice cubes at Budapest Zoo to keep them cool in the sizzling heat.

Hungary witnessed new heat records in Budapest and in the southeast on Thursday, the national weather service reported. In the capital a record high daily temperature of 38.7 degrees Celsius was measured in the north. The last heat record of 37.8 degrees on this day was measured in 1948 on Budapest’s outskirts in the southwest.
Temperatures Could Hit 40C in Hungary

The National Weather Service has issued the highest, third-degree heat alert for Bács, Békés, Csongrád and Jász counties. Peak temperatures could reach 39-40C degrees and in some parts of Hungary 41C in the next few days. The hottest weather is expected from Friday to Sunday.
