Canadian Artist Opens Exhibition In Slovakian Castle

"Castling - Hradovanie - Váralás", the show will open at 7pm on 18 May 2013 in the Fiľakovo Castle Museum (Füleki Vármúzeum) in Central Slovakia. As you may know, Fülek is a historical town in Slovakia with a Hungarian majority population about 20km from the Hungarian border, situated in the historical County of Nógrád. It is about a 2-hour drive from Budapest.

Janne Schra, a well-known singer, songwriter and artist from The Netherlands made a series of paintings of Transylvanian aristocrats which will be exhibited for one night at Brody Studios in Budapest Saturday May 4th.

Bánhegyi Adrienn’s YouTube video reached over 300.000 views since its upload on April 17th. The footage shows the multiple European and World Champion jump roper present her skills all around the beautiful landmarks of Budapest. Bánhegyi holds two world records, performs with Cirque du Soleil, and also appears with her solo act on stage.

The Museum of Fine Arts’ Department of Prints and Drawings preserves close to 600 lithographs by the outstanding French graphic artist, Daumier. In 2009 tender funds granted by the National Cultural Foundation enabled the urgently needed preservation work for the sheets.
