Hello everyone, I travel the world organizing Dutch pancake nights, every week in a different city, and so far organized more than 200 times, from Tokyo to Rio de Janeiro, New York to Singapore, and Hong Kong to Africa.

Thanks to everyone who came and supported, especially British Ambassador Iain Lindsay OBE for warmly encouraging guests to "dig deep", together we raised HUF 4.236 million.
This is a record fundraising result for XpatLoop's annual bonfire party, with 250 guests uniting for charity. Her Majesty's Ambassador to Hungary wrote afterwards: "Really enjoyed it, very good event." Read on for more ...

Budapest Zoo Is 150 Years Old

It’s been 150 years since Hungary’s very first zoo, the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden in the heart of the capital opened its gates to the public on August 9, 1866, writes hvg.hu. It was back at the end of the 18th century that the first public zoos were opened in Western Europe, the zoo in Vienna, for instance, began welcoming visitors in 1780.
Civilian Jet Intercepted By Hungarian Gripens

A civilian aircraft travelling from Abu Dhabi to London was intercepted by Hungarian Gripen fighter planes early on Thursday after it entered Hungary’s airspace unannounced. The Falcon 2000 jet was intercepted at 5:40am. The Gripens successfully established contact with the plane and then escorted it out of Hungarian airspace just after 6am, the defence ministry said.
