Costes DownTown has become the fifth Budapest restaurant to win a Michelin star in the gourmand guide’s latest edition. The eatery opened last June in the Prestige Hotel Budapest on Vigyázó Ferenc utca in the Fifth District. The winning chefs are Petra Tischler and Tiago Sabarigo.

The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg has ruled that the Hungarian state must pay Ft 800,000 each to Erzsébet Gy. Németh and Szilvia Kovács Frank. Both were Socialist MPs until 2010 and collected severance pay, which the Orbán cabinet punished by imposing a 98% special tax on it.
