App-based taxi company Uber has taken out full-page advertisements in Népszabadság and Világgazdaság today, arguing against the government’s ban on its service. The ad states that Uber has 150,000 users in Hungary and provides work to 1,200 honest taxpaying people, arguing that it is wrong to ban something that is loved by users.

Tens of thousands of people lined the Budapest banks of the Danube to watch the car, motor sport and air show called Nagy Futam (Great Race) in downtown Budapest last Sunday. As part of the show, three planes twice flew under the Chain Bridge simultaneously. The stunt was spectacular but nearly ended badly, because on both occasions one of the planes flew too low and bounced off the Danube.
