Budapest Baths More Popular, New Spa To Open
The number of visitors to Budapest spas went up nearly 4% last year, reaching almost 4.2 million, the spa operating company Budapest Gyógyfürdői announced as it released its preliminary figures on Thursday.

The Széchenyi Baths in Budapest’s City Park saw an 8% rise in visitors to 1.6 million.

This year a new spa will open in Csillaghegy, in the Third District, including recreational and catering facilities.

    Hungary’s Chief Medical Officer has issued a second-level heat alert for the entire country, in effect from Sunday, 30 June until Thursday, 4 July. According to forecasts from HungaroMet, temperatures are expected to exceed 25°C even in the early morning hours, especially in urban areas where buildings and paved surfaces retain heat throughout the night.
