New Decree Makes Home Delivery Easier In Hungary
The government has approved a decree to facilitate home delivery services, which will be excluded from registration, Napi reports.

Grocery stores and retailers of fast-moving consumer goods will be allowed to carry out such services without official authorisation.

The decree exempts companies from registration for package delivery, as long as deliveries are of food or FMCGs.

Public purchases related to the coronavirus pandemic may be exempt from procurement rules.

Food home delivery site Netpincér reported a surge in the number of restaurants wishing to join the platform since the government ordered all bars and restaurants to close at 3 p.m.

The service is available for 2,000 restaurants in 800 municipalities.

About 80% of the restaurants are located in Budapest, but requests from major cities in the countryside are increasing daily.
