Hungary’s Wizz Air To Resume Flights Next Week
Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air will resume flights departing from Vienna and London beginning May 1, the company announced on the weekend.

If licenses are granted, 21 destinations will be available from the Austrian capital including Milan, Valencia and Tel Aviv. From London-Luton airport, Wizz Air is planning to re-launch flights to Budapest and other destinations with a reduced number of flights.

The airline is expected to leave middle seats vacant on all aircraft, and Wizz Air flight attendants will wear masks and gloves. Disinfectant wipes will be distributed to passengers and aircraft will be regularly disinfected.

Wizz Air is one of the first European airlines to resume operation after restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus epidemic. According to IATA figures, European air traffic has fallen by 90%.
