31st Budapest Wine Festival Adds Culinary Adventures, 8 - 11 September
To bid farewell to summer in a merry yet dignified fashion, mark the dates of 8 - 11 September in your diary, because that’s when this fine wine tasting extravaganza is being held - with several new improvements this year.

Amid the magnificent surroundings of Buda Castle, you can enjoy sparkling summer relaxation with numerous innovations to add more comfort, plus culinary adventures and concerts, and as always a sumptuous wine selection.

The reconstruction of the courtyards at Buda Castle has reached a new stage, so guests can once again take their place around the original site of the Wine Festival, together with the renovated Halászó children's fountain, the Savoy terrace and the rebuilt ramp leading to the Csikós Courtyard.

In addition to the domestic and international wine selection, almost the entire range of champagnes sold here this time will be available for tasting.

This year, the Chef Market Gourmet Courtyard will be making its debut, where chefs from emblematic restaurants of Hungarian hospitality, in addition to their personal presence, await with freshly prepared specialities that also serve as the ideal accompaniment to the wine tasting.

The United States is guest of honour in 2022, offering fantastic wines from California, Washington state and Oregon, which you can taste along with classic American dishes.

The long-established aim of these expertly conceived events is to deepen the existing knowledge of wine lovers in an easy, fun way.

You can personally become acquainted with the lesser-known award-winning wineries in the VinAgora International Wine Competition, discover the outstanding products of international competitions and learn about new flavours and aromas in an informal fashion.

The two stages at the Wine Festival showcase more than 30 acts for music lovers who enjoy pop, jazz, blues, gospel, cumbia, funk, chansons and authentic folk music.

Tárkány Művek, Los Orangutanes, Sena Dagadub and Canarro are among the performers who will be appearing.

A greater number of comfortable seats than before will cater to long-standing visitor needs.

Also, occasional overcrowding should be a thing of the past thanks to the introduction of tickets that must be used on a specific day.

Find out details of the schedule on the Wine Festival website and purchase tickets here.
