University Town Rents, Real Estate Prices Rise in Hungary
Both rental and apartment prices in university towns have risen significantly, according to the Takarék Index, an analysis of the Takarék Jelzálogbank of Magyar Bankholding, writes profitline.hu

In Budapest, apartments are the most expensive per square meter in District V while prices rose the most last year in the Ferencváros rehabilitation area in District IX.

Meanwhile, Óbuda, Angyalföld, and Magdolnanegyed are among the most affected neighborhoods. In the countryside, Gödöllő (30 km northeast) is the most expensive, Miskolc (180 km northeast) is the cheapest, but in one year the prices per square meter increased the most in Borsod (190 km northeast) and Szeged (170 km southeast).

In the capital, the coverage periods are currently quite high, but in the countryside, they are more favorable, that is, the minimum period after which the purchase and rental costs are the same.
