Foreign Visitors to Hungary Up 13% to 7.8 Million Between Jan-June
Guest nights spent in commercial and private tourism accommodation in Hungary were 0.8% down at 3,984,000 in June year-on-year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.

The total number of guests rose by 3.8% to 1.6 million.

The number of guest nights spent by domestic travellers dropped by 10.0% to 2,205,000 and nights spent by foreign visitors grew by 13.6% to 1,779,000.

In the January-June period, the number of guest nights increased by 1.3% year on year to 15,979,000.

The number spent by domestic travellers fell by 8.0% to 8,108,000, while those spent by foreign visitors increased by 13.2% to 7,871,000.
