Mandatory Supermarket Food Discounts in Hungary Extended Until Next June
The government has decided to extend discounts big supermarkets must offer regularly on a number of food products until the end of June 2024, the economic development ministry said.

The measure, rolled out by the government in June to bring down inflation, was set to expire at the end of December.

Retailers are required to discount selected food products in a number of categories by 15% on a regular basis.
