Number of Battery-Only Electric Vehicles in Hungary Climbs Over 72,000

The number of battery-only electric vehicles registered in Hungary rose by more than 1,900 in January to over 72,000, the Energy Affairs Ministry said in a post on social media.

The number of BEVs in Hungary climbed by close to 22,000 to over 70,000 last year, the fourth largest increase in Europe, the ministry said. By 2026, the number of BEVs is expected to reach 120,000, it added.
