The original Finnish Santa Claus will come to Hungary for the 17th time this December. Santa Claus, or Joulupukki as Finns call him, flies in all the way from the Lappish town of Rovaniemi (via a Finnair plane and so not with Rudolph).

The St Andrew's Ball is now an established Scottish entry into the year’s social calendar - thanks to lots of hard work by the St Andrew's Association team, it's becoming a well-oiled machine. Howling dogs and misty border crossings - it was like living in a John le Carré novel. Budapest was shrouded in freezing fog all weekend but I still fell in love with the city.
