This country-side festival has been attracting music-lovers and party-goers to Székesfehérvár, the Hungarian “City of Kings”, since 2012. Organisers say the popularity of this festival is growing fast, and now it's amongst the biggest and best in Hungary, due to the mix of local and international stars - including Alice Cooper and The Offspring.

Balaton Sound is an emphasized touristic event in Hungary, it is not just a music festival but an important “touristic magnet” which attracts more than 150 thousands of visitors, much of them from other European countries, this way it has an important role in the international popularization of Lake Balaton.

From the organisers: One afternoon in the summer of 2002, I was drinking wine with one of my musician friends in a garden in Veszprém. He told me that he had seen Pavarotti in Austria, performing in a cathedral which had room for about a thousand people.
He was surprised, that the Maestro gave a concert in such a small place.

A real international crafts festival, the Festival of Folk arts will welcome its guests for the 30th time between the 18th and the 21st of August. Being true to the tradition, the venue remains the Buda Castle and its surroundings, however due to building works in the Castle there will be a few changes.

Cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary was in the focus of talks between Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and head of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Nguyen Thanh Phong, on Friday. Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s economic centre that produces a quarter of the country’s GDP, the foreign ministry noted in a statement.
