Student Camp Rapist Sentenced To Nine Years

A man aged forty was sentenced to nine years imprisonment in a final ruling for raping a student at ELTE University’s student camp in Fonyódliget, in western Hungary, in August 2014. The Pécs court of appeals approved last November’s ruling by the Kaposvár court to lengthen a seven-and-a-half-year sentence issued by the Fonyód district court last June.

Budapest will host the 5th congress of the European Association of Geographical Societies (EUGEO) between August 31 and September 2, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences said. Fully 602 delegates from 45 countries will gather to discuss climate change, demography, migration and urban development issues that will affect the continent’s future. EUGEO held its first congress in 2007 in Amsterdam.
