First Dance Film Festival To Be Held In Budapest

Budapest will host the first Szerpentin Dance Film Festival from May 17 to 19, organisers told MTI. The festival, to be held in Kino Cafe cinema, will feature dance films, documentaries, video arts and music videos from Hungary and abroad. The programme will include NY Export: Opus Jazz, a 2010 film by the New York City Ballet.

The art deco architect István Sajó was born in Debrecen, in Eastern Hungary. Despite a successful career in America, he returned home to the great Hungarian plain, where he built modern, exciting and spacious art deco buildings among the traditional, mostly single-storey, neo-classical houses lining the city’s streets. Sajó’s heart and soul belonged to Debrecen.
