The Hungarian government has acquired another seven pieces of the Seuso Treasure, a rare collection of ancient Roman silverware, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced on Wednesday. The government believes the “priceless national treasure, Hungary’s family silver,” has its place in Hungary, Orbán told reporters during a break of a cabinet meeting.

Consumer prices in Hungary grew by an annual 1.9 percent in June, down from 2.1 percent in May, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday. The June rate was slightly below the market consensus of 2 percent. Food prices grew by 3.1 percent and prices of spirits and tobacco climbed by 4.6 percent in June.
