To kick off the series of Burns celebrations in Budapest this year the British Ambassador brought together a friendly group of expats and locals at his home for a private Burns supper. It’s always a pleasure to make merry at this special Scottish night dedicated to the great bard Rabbie Burns.
App Aims To Redefine Budapest Downtown Parking Woes

Hungarian startup Parkl has released an app that helps drivers find parking spots in downtown Budapest and greatly simplifies payment. What is more, at designated venues users are being offered free parking today and tomorrow (Friday), whilst a discounted rate valid through mid-February is meant to sweeten the trial period.

The government has adopted a draft package under which “promoters of illegal migration” would be required to share data with the authorities, and would have to pay a 25% tax on donations from abroad, Interior Minister Sándor Pintér announced on Wednesday.
