On the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci, the all times’ greatest Leonardo-exhibition has opened its doors in the Janus Pannonius Museum of Pécs in Hungary. The exhibition, showcasing the scientific and engineering works of the genius brain, awaits visitors at two venues, on almost 1500 square meters, until 30th September 2014.

After the Hungaricum Committee meeting on Tuesday March 18th, five new products were added to the Hungaricum list ('the complimation of the national treasures): Count István Széchenyi’s intellectual legacy, the Zsolnay porcelain and ceramics, the 100-Member Gypsy Orchestra, Gundel Károly’s heritage the Gundel Restaurant, and the famous Pick salami.

Hungary's tourism achieved record-high results in 2013, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in Siófok on Monday, following talks with hotel managers of the Lake Balaton region. The Prime Minister stressed that 8.8 million tourists spent a total of 22.8 million guest nights in Hungary last year, paying a total of HUF 166 billion (EUR 638 million) for accommodation.
