Bach for All Festival (Bach Mindenkinek Fesztivál) is taking place this year, free of charge, in 100 cities and localities in the Carpathian Basin in concert halls, churches, schools, hospitals, underpasses and squares from March 16 to 22, with artists volunteering their time in aid of the child ambulance charity foundation Magyar Gyermekmentő Alapítvány.

Long-term expat Mr. Douglas Arnott was awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the UK’s New Year’s Honours list for 2019, having served as the Chairman of the Robert Burns International Foundation in Hungary for the last five years.

What started as a short e-mail from The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal to the UK Ambassador to Hungary Mr Iain Lindsay back in February ended with a sparkling new nursery in the 8th district that the kids there will enjoy for years to come.

Great opportunity to help the Budapest based Wesley János Nursery, a special pre-school unit that welcomes kids from all sorts of difficult background, including children's homes, holiday workers, low-income families. Kids without address cards.
